BP's Fleet managers were facing the problem that ordering road services for their fleet was taking up too much time and errors were easily made, the majority placed orders over the phone.
The main challenge was to combine a big variety of different toll products in one clear flow. As different types of vehicles need different products for different countries.
I have been working on a digital solution for enhancing this process, making it user-centered and insensitive for making errors. The new tool gives managers the opportunity to easily manage toll and other road services for their fleet, within one checkout process.
In the linear check-out process, vehicles needed to be selected first and matching products were shown after. Therefor it was impossible to buy a wrong product for a certain vehicle
Initially, 20% of the users completed their orders online. And 80% called the service desk. After the relaunch those number flipped, 80% of the users completed the orders online. Which resulted in cutting the manual labor in half. Checkout processes are a crucial part of a customers experience.
